This is all about cooking and food recipes that I believe are recipes worth trying. Can not say I am the best cook or that it is my passion, but I enjoy a good recipe now and then. Food brings the family together and creates the best memories. It just always seems that no matter the gathering somehow we end up in my kitchen. I have recently moved and let me tell you that my kitchen is much larger and so much more fun than it was before. As time goes on I plan to add to this page so please bookmark and visit often.


Cast Iron Irish Apple Cake: This delicious Irish Apple Cake recipe is an easy traditional dessert in Ireland. I was looking for something traditional yet simple and tasty that I would have all the ingredients needed to whip this cake up for our Wine and Dine Show. It is a tasty dessert or snack cake everyone will love, including the cook. I Love cooking in Cast Iron!

Comfort food – Meatloaf, we all need food that comforts us as we gather. My family has many but this one is all about Meatloaf and pairing it with wine. There are many recipes out there but please check mine out and the wine my husband chose to pair it with. See my recipe here.


Egg Foo Yong or Egg Foo Young, no matter how you spell it, is the perfect no pressure supper. When my husband prepares it, I consider it a healthy gourmet meal. It is also very easy to make it keto friendly.

Upper Peninsula Pasty. Their popularity was not just for taste but for convenience, but a favorite to bring to work in their lunch pails. Known as Pastee…..(Pronounced as PASS TEE). Pastees are basically a low cost meal in a pie crust similar to a chicken pot pie or hot pocket or a stromboli or Calzone. This recipe that will become one of your family’s favs.
