I am so glad you are here. Whether you strolled in, stumbled in, swooped in, came by what seems to be a random stroke of luck or a purposeful click. Just glad you are here. This meal includes a surprise with a Ramen Noodle and a Lazy Lab named Rose. Can’t wait to Wine & Dine with you! I have joined a wonderful community of people who know how to enjoy life and I want to include you in the fun. I am inviting you to join us as we explore wonderful food recipes and the fine wine that is paired with them.
A new guest hosts the Wine & Dine on a regular basis, sometimes a new person each week or they may host for a month, you never know and it is fun and exciting. They prepare their choice of food and choose the fine wine that they want to pair with the food. It is a blast and educational all at the same time. Now that is an oxymoron if I ever heard one!!!
This really is a fun event that you should get plugged into. Of Course, most of us belong to a phenomenal fine wine club but it is not necessary to belong to the club to join us. And, of course, I am going to invite you to join this wine club. There are many benefits that come with membership, from fine wine delivery, tasting notes, the wine knowledge that is shared, and a great income if you are interested in sharing this wine club.
Each week we share our Global Community of Wine Lovers and e often have a visit from one of our resident wine experts. Below is a sample of a recipe and wine pairing we have had on our Wine and Dine. Asian Chicken and Ramen Noodle Salad.
Asian Chicken and Noodle Salad
2 packs of dried Ramen Noodles (that’s right! Ramen!)
1 lb cooked chicken diced or shredded
16oz/1 lb frozen bag of mixed vegetables
Sauce:
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 Tbsp White Vinegar
2 Tbsp Dark Sesame Oil
2 tsp Hoisin Sauce
1 tsp sugar
Optional: Sesame seeds or dried Chinese noodles to garnish
I am getting up there in age and watch my diet a lot more carefully than in my Ramen Noodle days. I have a quick reference page for some suggestions for substitutes for the Ramen Noodles that are a bit healthier choices. That page is available here.
That was the Dine Segment – Now for the Wine Segment
The wine chosen for this meal was a Lazy Lab Rose’, a great choice. Priscilla joined in the fun and chose a Sauvignon Blanc. Both wine choices filled the taste buds with satisfaction to be sure. Chicken goes very well with white or Rose’. One of the wonderful benefits of this wine club is that you receive outstanding wines that are exclusive. Because we buy out the whole year of that grape, and then make an outstanding wine made with no preservatives or additional sulfites which makes it a truly fine wine.
